The path of the Pharaoh is always difficult. In his way to the throne of Egypt, the player must stop other pharaohs. Empires of Sand tell us the story of war with two fronts: the evil Seth and the other aspirants.
In order to stop the competitors, the player can plunder their cities and steal gold and stone from them. It is a way to get resources in a very short time, but it won’t be easy.
Each pharaoh has a budget to set a defense. There is always an active defense, even if the pharaoh never set one up. Of course, the best strategy is to set up a custom defense. The defense is based on the towers of the game.
There are three points that can be attacked: gold warehouse, stone warehouse, and a small warehouse in the center with gold and stone. The attacker can steal 5 % of the resources in the city. It is really difficult to protect the three spots, so, it is important to decide which one is the most valuable for the pharaoh. Sometimes, the stone will be the most needed resource, so that warehouse will be the best protected.
When attacked, a city receives a shield, and it cannot be plundered in a while. The time the shield will last depends on the damage the city received.
Pharaohs can attack other players at any time. However, there is a limitation. If the pharaoh don’t achieve at least 50 % of damage when plundered an enemy’s city, he will lose a life.
Only disconnected pharaoh’s cities can be attacked. If the pharaoh is in his city (connected), the city is protected. When entering the city, it is possible that someone is plundering the capital. In that case, the pharaoh must wait until the end of the attack.
There is a new building in the city, from where the pharaoh can manage the city’s defense. Upgrading this building will give the pharaoh more divine power to build the city’s defense. The level of this building also determines how much divine power is available to attack other cities.
